Methods for cleaning kitchen equipment
Release time:2021-07-20
The cleanliness of the kitchen is very important in daily life, as it relates to our food safety. Dirty kitchen equipment, combined with the humid air in the kitchen, can easily lead to bacterial growth, affecting human health with the food prepared. In severe cases, it can even cause food poisoning. It is essential to pay attention to the cleaning of kitchen equipment in daily life to maintain cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring safe eating. Below, I will introduce methods for cleaning kitchen equipment. Let's take a look!
1. Types of kitchen equipment
1. The first category is storage utensils, which are divided into two main parts: food storage and utensil storage. Food storage is further divided into refrigerated and non-refrigerated storage, with refrigeration achieved through refrigerators and cold storage cabinets in the kitchen. Utensil storage provides space for tableware, cooking utensils, and containers. Storage utensils are completed through various base cabinets, wall cabinets, corner cabinets, multifunctional decorative cabinets, etc.
2. The second category is washing utensils, including hot and cold water supply systems, drainage equipment, wash basins, wash cabinets, etc. Waste generated during washing in the kitchen should be disposed of in trash cans or sanitary buckets. Modern home kitchens should also be equipped with disinfection cabinets and food waste disposers.
3. The third category is preparation utensils, mainly including preparation countertops and tools and containers for sorting, cutting vegetables, mixing ingredients, and preparing dishes. With technological advancements, household kitchens are increasingly equipped with food slicers, juicers, mixers, etc.
4. The fourth category is cooking utensils, mainly including stoves and related tools and containers used during cooking. With the progress of the kitchen revolution, electric rice cookers, high-frequency induction cookers, microwaves, and microwave ovens have also begun to enter households in large numbers.
5. The fifth category is dining utensils, mainly including furniture in the dining area and utensils used during meals.
2. How to clean kitchen equipment
1. Cleaning oil stains on the floor: Pour a little vinegar on the mop to remove oil stains on the floor. If it is a cement floor, you can mix some wood ash with water into a paste the night before and rinse repeatedly with clean water; the floor will look as good as new.
2. Cleaning oil stains on stoves: Kitchen gas stoves are most prone to oil stains. You can apply thick rice soup on the stove; once it dries and hardens, gently scrape it off with a metal piece to easily remove the oil stains along with the rice soup crust. If you use thinner rice soup or noodle soup directly for cleaning or use fish bone for cleaning, the cleaning effect will be very good.
3. Cleaning oil stains on glass: You can use alkaline cleaning powder to scrub it first; then apply sodium hydroxide or diluted ammonia solution on the glass. After half an hour, wipe it with a cloth to make the glass shiny.
4. Cleaning oil stains on window screens: First sweep away surface dust with a broom; then mix 15 grams of cleaning agent with 500 milliliters of water and stir well before wiping both sides with a cloth to remove grease. Alternatively, adding a small amount of milk to laundry detergent can make window screens look very fresh after washing.
5. Cleaning oil stains on furniture (dining table and chairs): Add an appropriate amount of vinegar to clean water and wipe it to remove oil stains. Or soak in a bleaching powder solution for a while before wiping; this method works very well for removing stains.
Additionally, when cleaning, use a spray bottle filled with water mixed with an appropriate amount of detergent; spray it on the oil stains and after 3-4 minutes wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Do not use steel wool to avoid scratching stainless steel surfaces. If oil spots are not cleaned for a long time and form stubborn grease sludge, you can spray detergent on the sludge and let it soak for a while before wiping it off with a scouring pad; or soak in caustic soda solution for more than ten minutes and rinse with hot water to clean it thoroughly. Caustic soda is highly corrosive; be sure to pay attention to safety when using it.
In fact, as long as you clean up oil stains and food residues promptly after using kitchen equipment regularly—such as adding softener to devices that easily produce scale like water dispensers or frequently checking them—removing scale as needed will make cleaning these devices much easier each time without forming stubborn grease or scale that is difficult to remove.

What kitchen equipment and utensils are there in the cafeteria?
Generally, school and factory cafeterias are large institutions that need to provide meals for thousands of people every day. With the advancement of technology, modern cafeterias are now equipped with comprehensive kitchen facilities. Kitchen equipment refers to the devices and tools placed in the kitchen or used for cooking. Kitchen equipment typically includes cooking heating devices, processing equipment, disinfection and cleaning equipment, as well as storage devices for both room temperature and low temperature. Below, Hefei Shunchang Waste Heat Utilization Technology Co., Ltd. will specifically discuss what kitchen equipment and tools are available in cafeterias.

When purchasing kitchen equipment for the cafeteria, these five categories are essential.
The kitchen equipment used in canteens is all large commercial kitchen equipment. When constructing a canteen kitchen, it is necessary to plan ahead and consider which kitchen equipment will be needed later. Commercial kitchens refer to the equipment used in restaurants, hotels, and large canteens in schools and organizations. Due to the variety of ingredients, large washing volumes, and significant smoke output, household kitchen equipment clearly cannot meet their needs. In terms of specifications, capacity, power, and types, commercial kitchen equipment is larger than household kitchen equipment. When purchasing kitchen equipment, it is important to understand what types of kitchen equipment are available.

The process operation of commercial kitchen engineering design.
The design of commercial kitchen engineering integrates technologies from multiple disciplines. It involves planning workflows, area division, equipment layout, and equipment selection for kitchens in restaurants, cafeterias, and fast food outlets from a technical perspective. The goal is to optimize processes and space design overall. Additionally, it includes the supporting facilities for the kitchen, such as exhaust systems, fresh air supply, water supply and drainage, power lighting, energy saving and noise reduction, and system safety. Therefore, kitchen engineering design is regarded as one of the most complex types of engineering projects in building technology. How can we successfully carry out kitchen engineering project work?
